I spent the past 3 & a half years with my closest producers perfecting my best double album to date. To be able to have the full project out how Iâve been playing it the past year is an amazing accomplishment for myself.
When I dropped 9PM in 2023, I never intended to follow it up with 9AM. It was solely to create a 45 minute project full of songs for club shows. When I started working on more ambient laid back hip-hop beats (more specifically AM 2 The PM), I knew I had to continue it with a flip side.
By the time I had 9AM done, I had a few left over tracks that I intended for the deluxe. Altitude, 12:46 (Interlude) & Ready For The Night were all produced by myself in 2012 for my mixtape Double Cups & Swisher Blunts but never made the cut. I ended up going through my old files and getting my best beats (along with Up Right Now & Call Me When The Partyâs Over) and remade these songs while working on 9AM. Along with these added tracks, I also added alternate versions of a few songs exclusive for the deluxe. (Fast Lane, 100 Bands, New Pacific Remix, Whenever I Want & Days in The 9 with the newest song on the album being âCalifornia Nights / California Daysâ produced by myself & Andrew Reilly (Exampl), totaling 40 tracks with run time of 109:45.
With all that said, the number â9â represents community. I couldnât make this album without the support of all of you.
